"Step Up," make a gift, and help lead your team to victory!
WHAT IS MULE MADNESS?
It's hard to get to the top, and even harder to stay there. Muhlenberg's student-athletes are always striving to do just that. They dedicate themselves to their sport, their team and their studies. From February 18-27, three divisions of 16 Mule Madness teams compete to reach three goals: participation points, dollars raised and student-athlete participation. These teams count on supporters like you who are passionate about Muhlenberg athletics. Our student-athletes need you to help them win.

Mule Madness kicks off Friday, February 18, and continues through Sunday, February 27.
All 16 teams were placed into three separate divisions. Each division will have a champion for the highest participation points and highest total dollars earned.
Participation points are awarded to the teams with the following qualifications:
• (5 points) - Any alumni-athletes, student-athletes or parents of current/former athletes who make a gift of $100 or more.
• (3 points) - Any alumni-athletes, student-athletes or parents of current/former athletes who make a gift under $100.
• (1 point) – Any friends of Muhlenberg who make a gift to any sport.
These goals were determined by members of the annual giving staff and the athletic department. Each team has a student-athlete participation goal, a total participation points goal and a total dollars raised goal.
• Named champions for the 2021-2022 season
• Bragging rights for the remainder of the year
• Jerry Galgano D-III Challenge
• Additional sponsor dollars from our division sponsors
Making a gift as a student-athlete is a great way to give back to the team you love – and it will increase your team’s participation. If you and your teammates make a gift to Mule Madness, your team can earn additional bonus points and additional dollars through the D-III Challenge. For seniors, your gift will also count towards the Senior Class Campaign. Gifts under $25 are accepted by phone or in person.
Of course! When you make your gift online, you will be asked to select which team or teams you wish to support. If you make a gift by mail, please note the designation of your gift on the check.
We are counting all prior gifts this fund year (July 1, 2021 - February 17, 2022). Alumni athletes, student-athletes, and parents of current/former student-athletes who have already made a gift to the College were grandfathered in and reflected in the donor counts at the outset of the competition. Every gift made during Mule Madness adds participation points and dollars to your team.
Make a gift and encourage others to make a gift! Share your team’s goal progress on all of your social networks. Keep checking our social media links for competition updates.
Yes, all gifts designated for any athletic team during Mule Madness count for the campaign. To learn more about Boundless - The Campaign for Muhlenberg click here.
